Verbs are usually conjugated according to a predictable pattern. We call verbs that follow this pattern “regular.” The conjugated forms of regular verbs look like the following in use:
“To walk” There are, however, numerous irregular verbs that do not follow the standard conjugation rules. Irregular verbs tend to be the source of the most verb errors. Unfortunately, many high-frequency verbs in English are irregular and must be memorized. “See” is one of these.
“To see” “Be,” “have,” “make,” and “do” are also irregular verbs.
