The Opportunity
To achieve our ambitious goals, we’re seeking an experienced Senior Country Security Manager in Ukraine to join our Physical Security team. This role ensures the safety and security of Grammarly’s employees, assets, and hubs by implementing effective security measures, risk management, and incident response. Reporting to the Head of Physical Security in San Francisco, you will be based in our Kyiv hub and oversee security operations on the ground.
As a Senior Country Security Manager, you will collaborate with security, crisis management, workplace teams, and business stakeholders to devise and execute security plans specifically for our Ukraine hub and global team.
In this role, you will:
- Lead on-the-ground response efforts for security incidents, including power outages, emergency evacuations, medical responses, and other crises in our Kyiv hub.
- Develop and implement effective security strategies and protocols to address identified risks, ensuring the safety of all Grammarly employees and assets working in Ukraine while coordinating with relevant stakeholders.
- Act as the main point of contact for local law enforcement, military, and other relevant agencies to remain updated on security developments and coordinate responses
- Provide projective services, guidance, and recommendations for proactive measures to ensure the safety of the employees in Ukraine.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in security management, law enforcement, or the armed forces, with a strong understanding of security principles and practices.
- Understanding of laws, regulations, and industry standards related to security and safety in Ukraine.
- Strong background in security management, crisis management, analytical skills, and a deep understanding of the local security landscape.
- Experience in managing and responding to security incidents and emergencies, including developing and executing crisis management plans.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify and minimize security risks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with individuals at all levels.
- High proficiency in Ukrainian and English.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and integrity.
